اِنَّ اللّهَ ـ تَبارَكَ وَ تَعالى ـ لَمْ يَخْلُقْ خَلْقَهُ عَبَثاً وَ لَمْ يَتْرُكْهُمْ سُدًى، بَلْ خَلَقَهُمْ لاِِظْهارِ قُدْرَتِهِ وَ لِيُكَلِّفَهُمْ طاعَتَهُ، فَيَسْتَوْجِبُوا بِذلِكَ رِضْوانَهُ، وَ ما خَلَقَهُمْ لِيَجْلِبَ مِنْهُمْ مَنْفَعَةً وَ لا لِيَدْفَعَ بِهِمْ مَضَرَّةً، بَلْ خَلَقَهُمْ لِيَنْفَعَهُمْ وَ يُوصِلَهُمْ اِلى نَعيمِ الاَْبَدِ.

Indeed, Allah—Blessed and Exalted—is—did not create His creation in vain, nor did He leave them neglected. Rather, He created them to manifest His power and to charge them with obedience to Him, so that through it they may become deserving of His pleasure.

He did not create them to gain any benefit from them, nor to repel any harm through them. Rather, He created them to benefit them and to lead them to eternal bliss.

خداوند ـ تبارک و تعالی ـ آفریدگان خود را بیهوده نیافرید و آنان را به حال خود رها نکرد؛ بلکه آنها را آفرید تا قدرت خویش را نشان دهد و تکلیف اطاعت خود را بر عهده آنان نهد تا با آن، شایسته خشنودی او شوند.

آنان را نیافرید تا از آنها سودی ببرد یا به وسیله آنها زیانی را از خود دفع کند؛ بلکه آنان را آفرید تا به آنها سود برساند و آنها را به نعمت جاودان (بهشت) برساند.

بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَن تَزَكَّىٰ وَذَكَرَ اسْمَ رَبِّهِ فَصَلَّىٰ
Felicitous is he who purifies himself, celebrates the Name of his Lord, and prays.

SPECIAL EID AL-FITR PROGRAM

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Salam Alaykum,

We pray this message reaches you in the best of health and Iman. As the blessed month of Ramadan draws to a close, we ask Allah (SWT) to accept our fasts, prayers, and acts of worship, and to grant us the immense rewards of this holy month. May your deeds be accepted, your hearts filled with His mercy, and your lives blessed with peace and prosperity.

Following moon sighting projections, the new moon is expected to be visible on Thursday night, March 19th, across North America.

Accordingly, Eid al-Fitr will be, Insha’Allah, on Friday, March 20th, 2026.

Masjid Al-Rasool Congratulates you and all the Mo'mineen on the blessed occasion of Eid Al-Fitr. We are thankful to have had the opportunity to welcome you again at the Masjid during this holy month of Ramadan. In the spirit of unity, we bid farewell to this blessed month and bring you a special program to celebrate the arrival of Eid al-Fitr and reflect upon the spiritual revival brought to us by the month of Ramadan.

You are cordially invited to join us for the Eid prayer. The program will consist of the following:

ZAKĀT FITRAH فطریه

Zakat al-Fitrah should be set aside on the eve of Eid al-Fitr and paid on the day itself, which marks the end of Ramadan and the first day of the month of Shawwal. Since there will be in-person Eid Prayer, you can pay your Zakat at the Masjid or pay it online so we can get the funds to the Faqeer (needy) in time for Eid. A sum must be paid on a person’s behalf as well as on behalf of all of the dependents. This would also include any guests who are staying overnight during the eve of Eid al-Fitr, under the care of the person. For further details, please refer your Marja's rulings or this reference: http://www.islamic-laws.com/fitra.htm

For every individual, the minimum given must be the equivalent of 6.6 pounds of a popular basic food commodity such as rice or wheat (flour), as opposed to a full cooked meal. For 2026, the estimated cost per person for Zakat-al-Fitra is minimum of $10. On the day of Eid, the zakat will be distributed to the poor.

You can give Zakāt al-Fitra any time during the month of Ramadan before the night of Eid but it’s mustahab to first give it as a loan and then to change your intention from it being a "loan" to "Zakāt al-Fitra" on the day of Eid..

The amount of Fidya/Kaffarah is 1.65 pounds of popular basic food commodity. The estimated cost per person for Fidya/Kaffrah is $5.00 per day.

We will start with Zuhr and Asr prayer, followed by a potluck picnic where we can enjoy delicious food and fun games, and great company.

Night of Qadr Programs

“Surely, We revealed it on the Night of Qadr. And what can make you know what the Night of Qadr is? The Night of Qadr is better than a thousand months.” (Quran 97:1-3)

Salam Alaikum dear brothers and sisters,

Masjid Al-Rasool invites you and your family to join us for the sacred Nights of Qadr and the commemoration of the martyrdom of Imam Ali (AS). These are nights of immense spiritual significance, where prayers are accepted, destinies are written, and the mercy of Allah (SWT) envelops His servants.

Imam Ali (AS), the beacon of justice and the embodiment of piety, was struck on the 19th of Ramadan and attained martyrdom on the 21st. His life was a testament to unwavering faith, and devotion to Allah. To honor his sacrifice and legacy, we will commemorate his Shahadah at Masjid Al-Rasool (S).
