Sister Sayeda Zinat Hashmy was born in Iran and came to the United States when she was 3 years old. She has been in the US ever since and is one of five children. She is currently in her last year of graduate school for her masters in Marriage Family Therapy and is both working as well as interning part time. Sister Zinat is very much interested in learning more about Islam and teaching allows her to relearn from the beginning as well as help young children learn too. Though she has worked with children of all ages for many years this is her first year teaching.
