Join us for a special Quran Memorization Competition during the blessed month of Ramadan! □✨ Test your memorization skills and deepen your connection with the Quran.

□ Date: Friday, March 13th

□ Location: Masjid Al-Rasool (S)

Age Groups & Surahs:

□ Group A (Ages 7-10): Surah Al-Tariq or Surah Al-A'laa

□ Group B (Ages 10-14): Surah Al-Jumaa or Surah Al-Munafiqun

□ Group C (Ages 14-18): Surah Al-Hujarat or Surah Al-Qamar

□ Group D (Ages 18+): Surah Al-Rahman

All ages are welcome to participate! Don’t miss this opportunity to engage with the Quran and be part of this rewarding event.

Please note that this is an in-person competition only, and all participants must be physically present at the Masjid on the night of the event to compete.

We have coordinated for you all to park at Simi Community Church: 2000 Royal Ave, Simi Valley, CA 93065.
Please park there and walk to the Masjid Al-Rasool (s).

أَیُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّهُ قَدْ أَقْبَلَ إِلَیْکُمْ شَهْرُ اللَّهِ بِالْبَرَکَةِ وَ الرَّحْمَةِ وَ الْمَغْفِرَةِ شَهْرٌ هُوَ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ أَفْضَلُ الشُّهُورِ وَ أَیَّامُهُ أَفْضَلُ الْأَیَّامِ وَ لَیَالِیهِ أَفْضَلُ اللَّیَالِی وَ سَاعَاتُهُ أَفْضَلُ السَّاعَاتِ

“O People! Indeed, ahead of you is the blessed month of God. A month of blessing, mercy and forgiveness. A month, which is the best of months, with God. Its days; the best of days, its nights; the best of nights, and its hours; the best of hours."

اى مردم! همانا ماه خدا ، همراه با برکت و رحمت و آمرزش ، به شما روى آورده است ؛ ماهى که نزد خدا برترینِ ماه هاست و روزهایش برترینِ روزها ، شب هایش برترینِ شب ها و ساعاتش برترینِ ساعات است

Imam Jafar al-Sadiq (AS):

إِنَّ لِصَاحِبِ هٰذَا الأَمْرِ غَيْبَةً، الْمُتَمَسِّكُ فِيهَا بِدِينِهِ كَالْخَارِطِ لِلْقَتَادِ.

Indeed, the Master of this Affair (the Imam) will have a period of occultation. Whoever holds firmly to his religion during it is like one who strips thorns from a thorny plant with his bare hands.

همانا برای صاحب این امر غیبتی است؛ و کسی که در آن دوران به دین خود پایبند بماند، مانند کسی است که خارهای گیاه مغیلان را با دست بتراشد.

سُئِلَ الإِمَامُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْبَاقِرُ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام) عَنْ فَضْلِ لَيْلَةِ النِّصْفِ مِنْ شَعْبَانَ، فَقَالَ:

هِيَ أَفْضَلُ لَيْلَةٍ بَعْدَ لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ، فِيهَا يَمْنَحُ اللَّهُ عِبَادَهُ فَضْلَهُ، وَيَغْفِرُ لَهُمْ بِمَنِّهِ، فَاجْتَهِدُوا فِي الْقُرْبَةِ إِلَى اللَّهِ تَعَالَى فِيهَا، فَإِنَّهَا لَيْلَةٌ آلىَ اللَّهُ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ أَنْ لَا يَرُدَّ فِيهَا سَائِلًا مَا لَمْ يَسْأَلْ مَعْصِيَةً.

Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (peace be upon him) was asked about the virtue of the night of the fifteenth of Sha‘ban. He said:

“It is the most virtuous night after the Night of Decree (Laylat al-Qadr). In it, Allah bestows His grace upon His servants and forgives them through His generosity. Therefore, strive to draw nearer to Allah, the Exalted, on that night, for it is a night in which Allah has taken upon Himself not to turn away any supplicant, so long as he does not ask for something sinful.”

از امام محمد باقر (علیه‌السلام) درباره فضیلت شب نیمه شعبان سؤال شد، حضرت فرمودند:

«آن شب، پس از شب قدر، بافضیلت‌ترین شب سال است. خداوند در آن شب فضل و بخشش خود را به بندگانش عطا می‌کند و آنان را به لطف خویش می‌آمرزد. پس در این شب برای تقرب به خداوند متعال بکوشید؛ زیرا شبی است که خداوند بر خود واجب کرده است که دعای هیچ درخواست‌کننده‌ای را رد نکند، مگر آنکه درخواست گناه کند.»
